Quistor is selected as a Service Provider of the OCRE 2024 Framework
The OCRE 2024 Framework will allow tens of thousands of European Research and Education institutions, as well as public institutions in 39 countries, to easily, compliantly, and cost-effectively acquire innovative cloud services until 2030. This is the second time Quistor is an official holder, after being part of the OCRE 2020 Framework.
The Open Clouds for Research Environments (OCRE) 2024 Framework is the newest version in GÉANT’s series of public cloud frameworks, following the 2016 IaaS and 2020 IaaS+ frameworks. Its goal is to streamline the procurement process, helping institutions to conveniently consume commercial cloud services and find the EU-compliant solution they require. Similar to the previous framework, these include an impressive range of R&E organisations across Europe, and for the first time, also public institutions connected to National Research and Education Networks (NRENs).
Quistor has been selected as a provider of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services in four countries: Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom. These services include consultation, migration, implementation, training, and managed services. Quistor’s extensive experience, particularly in collaboration with Oracle cloud solutions for the education and research sectors, will bring technical expertise and deep knowledge to the table, to guide R&E organizations through their digital transformation with a tailored roadmap.
Institutions will benefit from multiple advantages such as the reduction of costs, compliance with all relevant EU Regulations, and improved service thanks to the access to favourable conditions, significant discounts, and offerings adapted to their unique needs. In addition, the framework has a focus on sustainability, privacy, and security. This will open new opportunities for growth and innovation while building a solid foundation for the years to come.
