Oracle to Increase Five Times its Cloud Services Capacity in Spain by 2025
Oracle has announced that it will increase its cloud services capacity in Spain fivefold by 2025. This announcement was made by Albert Triola, general manager of Oracle in Spain, during the Oracle Cloud World Tour event held in Madrid. The expansion is part of the company’s commitment to invest $1 billion in Spain over the next ten years.
This expansion of the cloud infrastructure includes the opening of a third cloud region in Spain, with no specific launch date yet, which will join the two existing ones in Madrid. This will enable Spanish companies and institutions, as well as all Sovereign Cloud for Europe customers across the European Union, to benefit from faster and more secure services, including Oracle’s artificial intelligence. The forecast is to exceed 2,000 cloud regions worldwide by 2030, a figure that currently stands at around 100.
In addition, Triola reported that the demand for OCI and cloud infrastructure continues to increase at a very good pace thanks to the demand for AI. Without going any further, Oracle closed $48 billion worth of deals in the third quarter of the fiscal year, growing significantly in its cloud lines of business. The company expects to continue this trend in the coming years, with forecasts to reach $104 billion in revenue by 2030.
Quistor, as part of the International Technology Group, was also present at the Oracle Cloud World Tour in Madrid, highlighting its commitment to innovation and cloud technology. This news will have a positive impact on our customers thanks to the expansion and growth of the cloud infrastructure not only in Spain but worldwide.
