Oracle BI Publisher -that comes with JD Edwards- is good for standard prints like Sales Orders and standard reporting like monthly financial reports. Integrated BI publisher offers good functionality for standard reporting. Oracle BI Enterprise Edition should be considered when you require, for example, dashboard functions. Data Access Studio and InsightSoftware are query tools that also represent real time data. Both tools also have predefined reports and output can be generated in either excel or graphical format. These tools are typically used for operational ad hoc analysis and reporting.
