Tools 9.1 dramatically improves the end user experience for all JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications
- The traditional left-hand navigation is replaced with modern drop down menus, graphical navigation pages, and a carousel. As a result, users can much more quickly access frequently used applications and reports, report output, and open applications.
- Many improvements to the browser based user interface including a modern look and feel, advance interactive query capability, improvements to the line items grid, and seamless search and select dialogs.
- End user personalization capabilities to increase end user productivity and simplify upgrades by reducing the degree of customizations required. Users have the ability to create, save and auto-execute queries on any JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application form. They can also interactively create custom grid formats to meet their requirements including the ability to hide, show, freeze, and unfreeze columns in the grid.
Tools 9.1 continues to lower the customer Total Cost of Ownership
- Improvements which leverage the certification of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Management Suite for Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c. In addition to prior support for proactive system monitoring and administration, Tools 9.1 provides additional details on the processes running on the JD Edwards server including mission critical call object kernel and batch processing.
- To simplify the process of configuring High Availability solutions for a JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementation, several new server clustering options are available including the clustering of the Business Ser! vices Server (BSSV) and the Real! Time Events Transaction server (RTE). Also, Oracle Active Data Guard has been certified to provide a disaster recovery solution for the JD Edwards database.
- Improvements to system Performance and Scalability. The embedded Oracle BI Publisher reporting capability is improved to handle very large (>2GB) reports. A faster table conversions process was added to support the faster conversion of database tables during an application upgrade. Also, complex database join operations against large data sets execute m! uch faster in many cases, such as the Customer Service Inquiry application.
